Why I am here...

Okay, I am just a rather ordinary 40-something mother of two. I am still shocked to be writing a blog. I am about eight months into a journey that started with the diagnosis of cancer. I remember sitting rather calmly and writing down the diagnosis and asking "all the right questions." I was in my office at work when I got the call. I am writing this blog as a journal of a person going through a medical issue. I am not a medical professional. Anything I say on here is as a person going through a journey. I am a Christian; a mother of two really great young people; a wife of a quiet, strong Christian husband; an educator; a daughter of a a man who is beginning to have health concerns and a lovely woman with a rare cancer, etc. If I can encourage anyone else, then I will have done something worthwhile.
